CultiCats
Using the ideation method of mind mapping and the “”How might we” create a holistic concept of cats that helps people understand their importance through history” question, our group has developed a comprehensive and engaging concept centered around cats.
The primary objective is to enhance public understanding of the historical significance
of cats.
To accomplish this, we have chosen to emphasize the distribution of informative materials aimed at raising awareness and educating the community regarding the needs of cats and promoting responsible ownership.
In pursuit of our goal, we have devised a creative approach that involves the use of a carefully designed cardboard box. Within this box, a meticulously crafted model of a cat was placed alongside a captivating candle, strategically positioned to attract
people’s attention.
By observing individuals’ reactions and interactions with this cat-inspired setup, we aim to gauge their responses and assess their receptiveness to what we refer to as the
“Cat Cult.”
So, me and 2 collegues, from my erasmus program group, created a cat sculpture and put it inside a cardboard box, along with a speaker playing cats’ sounds. Beside this, we also designed 3 postcards of cats, each from 3 different continents (Europe, Africa and Asia) to show how they were seen throughout history, in different places, as a gift to the that participated in this “study”.
